This album from 1974 is a masterpiece of the composer and singer “Gaucha Ana Mazzotti”. She died in 1988. Unfortunately little is known about the life and work of this excellent artist. She only recorded two albums. This record is now considered a relic, and fundamental to a collection of Brazilian music of the 70ies.
It´s another musical highlight of my youth. For more than 10 years I searched in vain for the album. Two days ago I found it at a recent auction. The penultimate song on the album called “Bairro Negro” is the purest LSD trip. I can never get enough. A rarity among the largest and least-known musicians of our time.
