Just a week ago, on a ranch in the north of Guatemala, 27 agricultural workers were murdered, 26 of whom were decapitated. Among the confirmed victims, which had been innocently involved in the drug war: two women and two children. This is the worst single incident of violence since the country’s 36-year civil war ended in 1996. The killing began around 7 pm Saturday, and ended around 3 am Sunday. Messages at the scene written on a wall in the victims’ blood were scrawled with a severed leg.
This tragic report about the execution is the proof that man is capable of anything. I think it will never end as long as drugs and money rule our system. Power is the breeding ground for hate.
